Women’s Hormone & Herbal Medicine Program

A gentle, guided Chinese medicine program designed to help you come back into rhythm with your body, your hormones, and your natural cycles of health and vitality.

This program is for women who feel like their body has become unpredictable, uncomfortable, or disconnected from how it used to feel, and who are ready for deeper, consistent support that addresses the underlying patterns contributing to their symptoms.

This follows the same comprehensive structure as my general Chinese Herbal Medicine Program, with personalized formulas, weekly check-ins, ongoing adjustments, and 30-day re-evaluations. This page focuses specifically on how that approach can support women’s health and the changing phases of reproductive and hormonal life. New to herbs? Whether you are menstruating, experiencing irregular or absent cycles, navigating perimenopause, or moving through the menopausal transition, treatment is tailored to meet your body's unique needs.

Chinese herbal medicine may support concerns such as bodily tension, PMS, headaches, painful or irregular cycles, heavy or light bleeding, clotting, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, fatigue, bloating and digestive discomfort, stress-related symptoms, and other patterns that can accompany hormonal change.

This program may be a good fit if you want to:

  • Feel more ease and predictability in your cycle

  • Reduce tension, cramps, headaches, bloating, clotting, and PMS symptoms

  • Experience more stable energy, sleep, nervous system, mood, and emotional steadiness

  • Feel more supported through perimenopause and menopause

  • Address hormonal symptoms through a deeper, whole-body approach

  • Reconnect with your body instead of feeling at odds with it

Why 4 months?

Hormonal patterns shift slowly. Your cycle is a rhythm, not a switch, and meaningful change often requires time, consistency, and ongoing support.

Four months gives us time to observe multiple cycles or hormonal phases, see how your body responds, adjust your formula as things change, and build on early improvements so they have an opportunity to become more stable.

That said, you aren't committing to all four months upfront. Treatment is structured in 30-day periods, with a re-evaluation at the end of each month. We'll review what's improved, what still needs support, and whether another month of active treatment makes sense.

Some women notice significant changes within the first 1–2 cycles, while more chronic or complex patterns may take longer. Four months is our initial treatment framework, not a deadline for your body to be "finished."

What’s included

Each 30-day treatment period includes your personalized herbal granule formulas, weekly check-ins, ongoing formula adjustments, email support for herbal and lifestyle questions, and individualized nutrition and lifestyle guidance when appropriate.

Your herbs are included throughout your active treatment month, including adjustments as your symptoms and underlying patterns change.

Herbal medicine is the primary focus of this program. Weekly acupuncture is encouraged when possible because it can provide additional support for pain, stress, sleep, digestion, nervous system regulation, and other symptoms we're working on alongside your herbal treatment, but it is completely optional and is booked separately. You can participate fully in the Herbal Medicine Program without receiving acupuncture.

What happens after 4 months?

At the end of four months, we'll reassess where your body actually is rather than automatically stopping treatment.

If you're feeling significantly better and your improvements are holding, you may transition into Herbal Maintenance, a lower-touch level of care designed to help maintain your results and keep you feeling balanced. Maintenance typically includes a lower herbal dose with one check-in each month rather than weekly monitoring.

If symptoms are still actively changing, haven't resolved enough to transition, or begin to return during maintenance, I may recommend another period of the full Herbal Medicine Program.

Herbal medicine can be used longer-term when clinically appropriate. The important part is ongoing monitoring. Formulas and dosages should evolve as your body changes, and certain herbs or therapeutic strategies are intended for shorter periods than others. The goal is always to use the appropriate herbs, at the appropriate dose, for the phase your body is actually in.

Who this program may not be the best fit for right now

This program is designed for women who have the capacity to take herbs consistently, complete weekly check-ins, and engage with treatment over several months.

It may not be the best fit if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, undergoing an active IVF cycle, or actively trying to conceive before completing foundational treatment. I also recommend avoiding multiple new health protocols at the same time, as it can become difficult to understand what your body is responding to.

If you're unsure whether the program is appropriate for you, I'm happy to help you determine the best next step.

Investment & structure

The Herbal Medicine Program is $500 per 30-day treatment period, with four months recommended as the initial course of care.

Each month is prepaid individually and includes your herbs, weekly check-ins, formula adjustments, and ongoing support. At your 30-day re-evaluation, we'll decide whether to continue into the next month. If so, you'll enroll in and pay for the next 30-day period at that time.

You are not required to commit to or pay for all four months upfront. Some patients may also benefit from continuing active treatment beyond four months before transitioning into maintenance.

Acupuncture treatments are optional and booked separately from the Herbal Medicine Program.
